Educator's Review: In this game players have to find the target answer, but can choose any two numbers on the board that will give that answer. This encourages flexible thinking, since a player might choose 12 and 5 on one turn to get 17, but then have to find two different numbers on the next turn if the target answer remains the same but there is no longer a 5 on the board, for example. 10 and 7 will work just as well, but the player has be able to think of different answers to the same question sometimes. It is also a much less linear form of thinking than simply asking, "what does 12 +5 equal?" and therefore more challenging.
Please Note: This game consists of a board full of numbers, which won't appeal to players who prefer a more visual interface. It is also fairly repetitive play, where players have to complete equation after equation until the board is clear. There is no leveling up, no power ups, or any other features to break up the gameplay. This game provides a good challenge for students with strong arithmetic skills, but may frustrate students who do not yet have strong skills.
