Educator's Review: SHIFT 2 requires players to change perspective as they play and turn negative space into solid ground and then back again. By pressing the shift button, players change the orientation and gravity of the level and flip themselves beneath the floor on which they are standing - which can open up more paths through which to move, and finally reach the end of the level. Players have to move using a combination of black and white paths in each level, but have to use the ability to visualize what will change if everything flips and whether new paths that open up will lead to where you need to go. This is a very challenging platform puzzler that is hard to complete in one sitting.
Please Note: While this game will tickle the brain cells of highly visual players, others will find it much more frustrating. Players have to predict what paths will open up when they flip, and levels get increasingly more difficult as the game goes on. This is a game that will challenge players who do not have strong puzzle solving skills.
